Exchange SSPC - [Weikewei] -30 minute quick disassembly design

In solid-state power controllers (SSPCs), in addition to their basic functions, there is an urgent need for arc fault detection, as arcs pose increasing hazards and threats to aircraft safety. Experimental research was conducted on fault current data. In order to improve the speed and accuracy of arc fault detection, this paper proposes two fast arc fault detection methods based on half cycle data. The method of combining Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WPD) is used to distinguish between arc fault current and normal operating current. The analysis results indicate that the method based on half cycle data can effectively and accurately detect AC arcs. And experimental verification results were provided.

With the development of all electric aircraft (MEA/AEA), more and more electrical equipment is being applied in the aviation industry. However, traditional switches such as contactors, circuit breakers, and relays pose challenges to the protection of aircraft power systems due to physical effects such as arc faults. Power electronic devices allow the combination of switch functions and protection devices with digital microprocessors into one device. The 1 and 2 solid-state power controllers (SSPCs) shown in Figure 1 are one of these new technologies that are being widely researched. These SSPCs mean achieving "soft switching" and intelligent control of electrical loads on aircraft. In addition to traditional functions such as preventing damage to electrical equipment due to overload or short circuit, SSPC has no mechanical wear, high reliability, low power consumption, and a new remote control and monitoring function. All these advantages make SSPC particularly suitable for aerospace applications
