Chinese bombers flap their wings, far more effective than negotiating at the table

Putin once said that it's better to say a thousand times at the negotiating table than to flap the wings of a bomber once. Putin dares to speak like this, naturally relying on Russia's powerful bomber fleet. Although Russia's bomber fleet is mostly Soviet heritage and there are not many new productions, it still brings tremendous power to Russia's external deterrence. And a video played on the Chinese Air Force's Army Day also showcased the Chinese Air Force's H-6K bomber.

However, unlike previous bombers flying to coastal areas, this video shows the scene of bombers flying to the the Himalayas. This shows that the Chinese Air Force has begun to prepare for dual line combat, not just against maritime threats. The H-6K in the video is carrying the KD-63 short-range air to ground missile, not the CJ-20 long-range cruise missile with a longer range.

The Western Military Region of China is already equipped with H-6K bombers and usually goes to high-altitude areas for training. After the border conflict between China and India, bombers often deployed at Kashgar Airport, so it's not surprising. With a range of 3500 kilometers, the H-6K bomber can cover a large combat area. If carrying CJ-20 cruise missiles, it can attack targets thousands of kilometers away.

China's deployment of bombers to Xizang and Xinjiang is clearly intended to warn India that India's capital, New Delhi, is completely within the scope of China's attack. Attacking cities is highly likely to cause casualties among innocent civilians, therefore the main targets of bombers are air bases, missile units, and other important military facilities along the Indian border.

According to reports from Indian media, the Indian Air Force has made targeted adjustments to its deployment, dispatching MiG-29UPG and Su-30MKI fighter jets to frontline air bases in areas such as Ladakh, Sikkim, and southern Tibet, but so far there have been no incidents of confrontation between the two sides.

In order to defend the border areas, India has built many front-line airports along the actual control line. But these airports often lack tight air defense equipment and sufficient logistical facilities. When the plane needs maintenance, it still needs to return to a larger base behind it. And most of these airports are within the missile strike range of the Chinese Rocket Force, so their safety is really inadequate.

The Chinese Air Force also has the capability to remotely strike India's airport facilities. But India does not have enough counterattack capability. The Indian Army only has one old-fashioned liquid fueled land-based missile, which has a too close range to attack targets at long distances. The Indian Air Force does not have bombers and can only rely on fighter jets for long-range strikes. India has modified a portion of the Su-30MKI to enable it to launch Indian made BrahMos cruise missiles. The introduced Rafale fighter jet is equipped with Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Although the weapons purchased by India have good performance, their quantity is rare and it is difficult to cope with the high-intensity consumption during wartime.
