Latvia donates Mi-17 and Mi-2 helicopters to Ukraine

The Latvian Ministry of Defense has revealed that it has donated four aircraft to the Ukrainian Air ForcehelicopterIncluding two Mi-2 and two Mi-17 helicopters. These four helicopters were delivered to the Ukrainian Air Force in a partially disassembled form. Prior to delivery, four helicopters underwent repainting and repainting, with one Mi-17 undergoing major repairs. The Ukrainian Air Force will use it for missions after assembly is completed. Latvian Defense Minister Altis Pabriks stated that six months ago, Latvia donated the "Stinger" air defense system to help the Ukrainian military delay Russia's invasion. Pabriks also stated that Western support for Ukraine must not decrease until Ukraine liberates all its territories. According to the Ministry of Defense, Latvia is one of the countries that provides the most substantial support to Ukraine in terms of gross domestic product. Latvia has currently provided Ukraine with 200 million euros (approximately 203 million US dollars) in security assistance, including "Stinger" air defenseMissileSystems, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti tank weapons, ammunition, dry rations, weapons, and personal equipment.
