Quick boat back, successful launch!

At 14:19 on September 27th, the Kuaizhou-1A solid carrier rocket was ignited and launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, sending the Jilin-1 Gaofen02D satellite into its designated orbit. The launch mission was a complete success. This is the return of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket to the launch stage since the failed launch of the Jilin-1 Gaofen02C satellite on September 12th last year.

One year later, the boat returns quickly!

The Jilin-1 Gaofen02D satellite is a high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite developed by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. It can obtain high-resolution color static images for earth observation and will provide remote sensing data services for China's land and resources monitoring, mineral resources development, smart city construction, forestry resource survey, ecological environment monitoring, public emergency health and other fields.

The Kuaizhou-1A rocket used for this launch mission is a small solid launch vehicle launched by the Rocket Company of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation's Aerospace Sanjiang subsidiary. It has an internationally recognized interface and mainly provides launch services for 300 kilogram low orbit small satellites. It has the characteristics of high flight reliability, high orbit accuracy, short preparation period, low support requirements, and low launch costs.

The rockets named "Kuaizhou Xinzhou" from the same batch have completed final assembly testing and will be launched at an appropriate time.

Since its first commercial launch mission on January 9, 2017, the Kuaizhou-1A rocket has successfully completed 10 launch missions and successfully delivered 20 satellites into their designated orbits.

At present, the Fast Boat Rocket Assembly and Testing Center (Phase I) located in Wuhan National Aerospace Industry Base has been put into use, mainly for the assembly and testing of Fast Boat solid launch vehicles. It now has the ability to produce 20 solid launch vehicles per year for assembly and testing.

This mission is the 11th launch of the Kuaizhou-1A rocket.
