100 fifth generation aircraft gathering in the surrounding area, trying to kick the door to China? Our army conducts large-scale red flag exercises for air defense operations

In order to further encircle China militarily, the United States and its allies have been frequently deploying warships and military aircraft to the Asia Pacific waters in recent times. Under the call of the Indo Pacific strategy, they have also gathered Australia, Japan, India, the United Kingdom, and even Germany to participate.

At present, the USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group of the United States Navy has arrived in the Indo Pacific, and the HMS Queen Elizabeth Carrier Strike Group of the British Navy has arrived in Yokosuka, Japan. If we include the USS America amphibious assault ship stationed in the Philippine Sea and the fifth generation fighter jets deployed by a squadron of the US Marine Corps at Iwakuni Base, there are currently 100 fifth generation fighter jets gathered in the surrounding areas of China. This is not only the first time that a US aircraft carrier has deployed fifth generation fighter jets in the Asia Pacific region, but also the end of the "carrier vacuum period" that has made the Pentagon uneasy.

According to reports from US defense media, the US Air Force has dispatched 25 new F22 fourth generation fighter jets to Guam and its surrounding areas to conduct a large-scale joint air combat exercise codenamed "Pacific Steel", which is also the largest military exercise in US Air Force history to use F22 aircraft.

General Wilson Bach, Commander of the US Pacific Air Force, stated in an interview that the purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate the strong strategic flexibility of the US Air Force and further validate the new concept of sensitive combat deployment.
The conceptual content of this concept assumes that in the future, there will be a military conflict between the United States and a major country, and the existing large or fixed bases of the US Air Force will be severely damaged. In order to preserve the Air Force's vitality, combat aircraft must be dispersed to small makeshift airfields to gain opportunities for subsequent counterattacks.
It is worth mentioning that the US military has deployed the location of the "Pacific Steel" exercise at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, Northwest Guam Airport, Guam International Airport, and Tinian Island International Airport, all of which will become key areas for US military deployment in this exercise. Just from the deployment of the US military, it can be seen that the once arrogant US military is gradually recognizing the reality.
The most advanced F22 fighter jet of the US military no longer has an absolute advantage in the Western Pacific, and it can even be said that its relative advantage is gradually decreasing compared to our J-20 fighter jet. This can be seen from the US military's increased deployment of the F22 in the Western Pacific.

The US military no longer hopes to suppress our J-20 fighter jets in terms of performance, but hopes to achieve a balanced situation in terms of quantity. This means that in the eyes of the US military, they have realized that they must place the J-20 and F22 at the same height.
However, relying solely on these 25 F22 fighter jets is not enough to change the power balance of high-end fighter jets between China and the United States. Therefore, the United States came up with the idea of gathering multiple allies and strengthening the secondary high-end combat capability by concentrating F35 fighter jets.
The US military's move is influenced by our military's repeated high-profile displays of fifth generation aircraft in the past period. According to current progress, the J-20 fighter jets have been delivered to four military zones. Although the specific number of J-20s is unclear to the outside world, public opinion generally believes that the number exceeds at least 100.
Therefore, relying solely on 25 F22 aircraft is still insufficient in combat effectiveness, but if around 100 F35 aircraft are deployed, it can provide some peace of mind for the senior management of the US military. Like our military's J-20, the characteristics of these two fifth generation aircraft also include "kicking the door". However, in the hands of the US military, the F22 and F35 are designed to kick open the "door" of our country's airspace.

However, what makes the US military feel anxious is not only our J-20 fighter jet, but also the anti stealth radar, various types of medium range missiles, Russian made S400 air defense system, and our independently developed Hongqi series air defense system in our hands. These equipment deployed along the eastern coast of our country form a tight defense network.
At the same time, the missile battalion of a certain air defense brigade of the 72nd Group Army of our army recently conducted a cross day and night air defense exercise. As shown in the picture, a large number of Red Flag air defense missiles are erected to simulate ground to air combat.
The core of this' cross day and night air defense exercise 'is that there is no script or contingency plan, and it completely follows the mode of modern warfare to carry out continuous combat operations in the context of actual combat, effectively verifying the combat readiness of our air defense forces.
In fact, similar high-intensity confrontation exercises have become the main direction of our military exercises in recent years. Through such high-intensity confrontation exercises, it can directly deter the surrounding US, Japan, and South Korea bases, ensuring our absolute advantage in the first island chain.

The reason why the US military is worried about the air force base in Guam is because they are afraid of the medium range missiles under the Dongfeng series in our hands. Guam has become the last barrier for the US military in the Western Pacific, after all, the US military bases in Japan and South Korea are too close to our military's blade. This feature used to be a magic weapon used by the US Seventh Fleet to contain us, but now it has become a lifeline around their necks.
Ultimately, what our military needs the most at present is time. The J-20 is working day and night to accelerate production, and the training of carrier based aircraft units has begun to take shape. Especially with the increasing news of new carrier based aircraft, coupled with the fact that our navy still maintains a "dumpling like" speed of launching new ships every year, all of these indicate that a powerful Chinese navy is on the rise.
When our main combat equipment can match the performance of the United States, the remaining key is to increase the quantity. As long as China can maintain strategic stability and not follow the pace of the United States, breaking through the second island chain is only a matter of time. At that time, the Western world will once again experience the sharpness of the Chinese military!
